Ringing Bells a Noida based company in collaboration with the government has come up with the smartphone in line with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for empowering India to the last person and transforming India’s growth story, the company said.

If you can recollect, back in 2011 a product called Akash tablet was launched, which aimed to provide affordable computing and internet-browsing gadgets for the burgeoning young India. Yet again the government has come up with a similar product, which can be owned by one and all.
A new entrant in the Indian mobile phone market, Ringing Bells had launched one of India’s cheapest 4G smartphone at Rs 2,999, recently. It has launched two other feature phones in the market. Ringing Bells has said that they will start the assembly of the new Freedom 251 in Phase-1 and aims at complete indigenous development of the smartphone.
